Comment on the Prosecution of the Attempted Extortion Suspects

SOFTBANK BB Corp. has issued a press release on the attempted extortion using "Yahoo! BB" customer information. Details are provided below.

We have been informed today by the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office that charges have been filed against two suspects in cases of attempted extortion based on "Yahoo! BB" customer information (Suspect Yuasa and Suspect Kimata). We have the following comment to make on the filing of charges.

We have been informed today by the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office that charges have been filed against two suspects in cases of ttempted extortion based on "Yahoo! BB" customer information (Suspect Yuasa and Suspect Kimata).

In order to prevent the recurrence of these cases, SOFTBANK BB Corp. will continue to enhance security measures throughout the entire company by tightening internal restrictions on access to customer information and strengthening surveillance systems to monitor unauthorized access, and reinforce its personal information management system.
