SoftBank Corp. (hereinafter "SoftBank") and Enpower Japan Corporation (hereinafter "Enpower Japan") are conducting research and development on next-generation high-energy-density batteries intended for use in HAPS.
Up to now, we have successfully demonstrated an energy density of 520Wh/kg with liquid-based lithium metal batteries and 300Wh/kg with all-solid-state lithium metal batteries.
Recently, SoftBank and Enpower Japan have achieved an energy density of 350Wh/kg with all-solid-state lithium metal batteries through the development of solid electrolyte technology.
