ProfileI joined NTT Data Corporation as a new graduate and worked as an application specialist, responsible for planning and developing systems related to air mobility such as air traffic control systems for government agencies for seven years. Later, I transferred to the Civil Aviation Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and worked on regulatory and rule-making tasks. During this time, I came to the realization that I wanted to be involved in a job where I could make a social impact, and joined SoftBank Corp. In my current position, I am engaged in research and development toward realizing automated driving and HAPS, aiming for "social transformation through new mobility".

Characteristics of our research instituteWe value our institute's slogan, "Technology has value only when it is used." For technology to be used, it is important to address all elements, such as the societal and service operation design, regulation, and others, which accept and require it. We believe that our institute's strength lies in the ability to approach all of these elements, which is a unique characteristic.

How to spend holidaysOn my days off, I often go hiking and climb both the Northern Alps and snow-capped mountains. The appeal is that I can feel a sense of accomplishment that I can't easily experience in my work, which is never easy. However, hiking is by no means a way to relieve work-related stress. The type of stress I experience at work is something that can only be resolved through work itself.
