Shuto Masuda

• Profile
  After my Master’s degree, I joined SoftBank Corp. as a new graduate. I worked as an infrastructure and network engineer in the 5G Teleco Cloud platform development division.
  In particular, I was responsible for the NW/CaaS (Container as a Service) area and BMC (Baseboard Management Controller).
  Since April 2025, I have been working in the current department.

  I enjoy all areas of computer science, but I’m especially interested in system-level layers ranging from middleware to system calls, the design of programming languages, algorithms, and writing maintainable code through thoughtful software architecture.
• Hobbies and How to Spend Holidays
  Watching European football.I enjoy the stadium atmosphere, but when it comes to exciting matches, I prefer watching them online.
• Work Values
  For me, the first priority is to enjoy working with my team while getting tasks done.
  Based on that foundation, when I encounter something I don’t understand, I try to tackle it hands-on to turn it into experience and deepen my technical understanding.
  From there, I raise the level of abstraction to grasp the more universal concepts and internalize them.
