  • Profile
Involved in the development and implementation of disaster response radio systems, as well as research on wireless entrance construction technology (primarily the capacity increase using OAM multiplexing transmission) at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT). Later, at NTT East Corporation, involved in updating satellite communication systems for remote islands and disaster response, as well as designing and establishing operational methods for disaster response radio systems. Joined SoftBank Corp. in 2021. Work as a member of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers.
  • Research areas
    • Antenna design technology for vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) direct communication
    • Related technology for vehicle-to-network-to-vehicle (V2N2V) communication via base stations
  • Major publications / papers
    • Takahiro Tsuchiya et al., "Experimental Evaluation for Wireless Entrance to Street Small Cell with 75 GHz Channel Measurement," IEICE Transactions on Communications 117 (103), 143-148, Jun. 2017.
    • M. Suga, T.Tsuchiya et al., "Experimental Verification of 1-Tap Time Domain Beamforming for P-MP Relay System via 75 GHz Band Measured CSI", IEICE Transactions on Communications E102.B (8), 1751-1762, Aug. 2019.
  • After a career change
I joined SoftBank Corp. in 2021 following my departure from NTT East. I have found that research and development at our research institute is characterized by two points: "a high level of discretion given to researchers" and "a fast speed towards commercialization." The former means that an environment is provided in which each researcher can think and act independently towards their goals. The latter means that we always keep in mind that good technologies are promptly demonstrated towards commercialization. I will continue to work hard with diligence towards the future.
