生成系AI勉強会について

Purpose:

The primary objectives of our study group are as follows:

1. Provide a platform for information sharing and learning about the latest trends and advancements in generative AI technology.

2. Enhance participants' understanding and utilization of generative AI capabilities.

3. Foster collaboration and idea-sharing for projects related to generative AI.

Our study group engages in the following activities:

• Regular Meetings: Monthly meetings serve as a forum for introducing the latest information and research papers on generative AI, followed by discussions among participants.
• Project Sharing: Participants are encouraged to share their ongoing projects and ideas, facilitating a space for constructive feedback and collaboration.

Recent Webinars:

To date, we have successfully organized three webinar sessions, drawing in around 100 participants from SoftBank and Tokyo University Beyond AI members. These webinars have been instrumental in keeping our community informed about the cutting-edge developments in generative AI.

1st Webinar 〜第1回〜

講演: 生成 AI の最新トレンドと課題（Latest Trends and challenges in Generative AI）

内容: 最近の生成AIのトレンドと課題は、大規模なプリトレーニングモデルの普及、異なるドメインへの適応、そしてAIアートとクリエイティビティの分野での利用が際立っています。一方で、データプライバシーや倫理、バイアスと公平性、計算リソースとエネルギー効率、品質と信頼性などの課題も浮上しています。生成AIの持続可能な発展と倫理的な利用に向けた研究と努力が今後ますます重要となります。

2nd Webinar 〜第2回〜

講演: From Generative AI to Generative Agents

内容: Powered by LLMs, generative agents attempt to mimic human behavior by implementing a computational architecture that enables them to remember and interact with the user, other agents, and the environment. Instead of following pre-defined rules within an algorithm, generative agents continuously adapt to different circumstances and produce emergent behavior. In this talk, I will discuss the basic components of generative agents and their potential future applications.

講演者: Dr. Carlos Enrique Gutierrez

略歴: Dr. Carlos Enrique Gutierrez is a computational neuroscientist currently working at SoftBank Corp. (Beyond AI). His primary focus is on applied brain research, specifically brain modeling, reinforcement learning and neuro-signal processing. Previously, Dr. Gutierrez worked as a postdoctoral scholar at the Neural Computational Unit at OIST, and as an IT consultant at both IBM and the Inter-American Development Bank. His primary scientific interests include brain modeling, dynamics of neurodegenerative diseases, bio-inspired AI, and supercomputin.

3rd Webinar 〜第3回〜

講演: 大規模言語モデル活用技術の最前線

内容: 近年，国内外の企業および研究機関において大規模言語モデルの開発競争が激化している．それに伴い，大規模言語モデルの性能を最大限に引き出すための研究も活発に行われており，大きな発展を見せている．本チュートリアルでは，自身の研究や業務で大規模言語モデルを使いたいと考えている初学者を主な対象とし，Chain of ThoughtやReActを始めとする大規模言語モデルを使うために役立つ技術や知見を最新の研究成果に基づいて紹介する．

日時: 2023年11月21日 18時00分～19時00分

講演者: 加藤 公一 (Dr. Kato Kimikazu)

略歴: ECサイト向けのレコメンデーションサービスの開発を経て2019年にソフトバンク入社。AI関連プロダクトの開発や、医療関連のデータ分析に従事。著書「機械学習のエッセンス」（SBクリエイティブ）。博士（情報理工学）。

Participant Inclusion:

The study group welcomes individuals with varying levels of experience who share an interest in generative AI. Beyond AI members and anyone intrigued by generative AI are encouraged to join and contribute to the diverse discussions.

ポスター発表会について

We had poster presentation where we shared recent advances and challenges in Generative AI.
