SOFTBANK TELECOM Establishes an Overseas Subsidiary in New Delhi, India
Support establishment of ICT environment by Japanese companies expanding into India

SOFTBANK TELECOM Corp. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Masayoshi Son, hereinafter "SBTM") announced that SBTM will establish an overseas subsidiary, "JAPAN TELECOM INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED" (tentatively named) from July 1, 2007 in New Delhi, India.

SBTM has already established overseas subsidiaries in U.S.A. (New York), Europe (London, U.K.), Singapore and China (Shanghai) and supported network system of Japanese companies expanding overseas. More Japanese companies are expected to expand into India in the future and SBTM has decided to set up a new subsidiary in New Delhi, India to enforce support for construction/operation of ICT (abbreviation for Information Communication Technology) environments in order to cope with needs of those Japanese companies for network construction consulting, integration and operation/management.

With this establishment of the overseas subsidiary, SBTM will be able to meet the needs of customers who are using "ULTINA Global Services" of SBTM more promptly, for integration and other services including network equipments on the India side.

SBTM will continue making its best efforts to improve customer satisfaction through meeting various network needs of customers who do multinational business and through establishing a system to offer optimal ICT solution including arrangement of indoor LAN cabling in service areas.
