- *1EMOBILE LTE offers maximum downlink speeds (when receiving data) of 75Mbps and maximum uplink speeds (when sending data) of 25Mbps (both of which are only available in supported service areas). In areas outside EMOBILE LTE areas where EMOBILE G4 is available, maximum downlink speeds (when receiving data) of 42Mbps and maximum uplink speeds (when sending data) of 5.8Mbps (both of which are only available in supported service areas) are available. Check the EMOBILE website for details on supported service areas (http://emobile.jp/area/). Wi-Fi (IEEE802.11b/g/n-compliant) is the communications standard used between a communications terminal and Wi-Fi compatible device. When using the STREAM X with the tethering function, the maximum downlink speed (when receiving data) is capped at around 45Mbps. Also note that STREAM X supports maximum downlink speeds (when receiving data) of 75Mbps when connected via a USB cable. Maximum communication speeds are on a best-effort basis (the maximum speed as provided for in the respective standard) and are not guaranteed as the effective speed. Communication speeds may vary depending on the communication environment and status of congestion.
- *2UE Category 4 is a communications standard that enables high-speed communications, offering maximum downlink speeds (when receiving data) of 150 Mbps and maximum uplink speeds (when sending data) of 50 Mbps in the 20MHz bandwidth. As of February 2013, EMOBILE LTE offers maximum downlink speeds (when receiving data) of 75Mbps and maximum uplink speeds (when sending data) of 25Mbps, and support for the maximum speeds allowed under UE Category 4 has not been decided. Also note that maximum downlink speeds (when receiving data) of 75 Mbps and maximum uplink speeds (when sending data) of 25 Mbps are only available in supported service areas. Maximum communication speeds are on a best-effort basis (the maximum speed as provided for in the respective standard) and are not guaranteed as the effective speed.
