UK-based Opensignal Ranks SoftBank Corp. as No.1
in the Asia Pacific region
for Group Video Calling Experience

SoftBank Corp. (“SoftBank”) announced that it was ranked No.1 in the Asia Pacific region for Group Video Calling Experience according to a report released in May 2021 by UK-based mobile network analytics firm Opensignal.

Opensignal, which is regarded as the wireless industry's largest and most frequent analyzer of the global consumer mobile experience, collects billions of measurements daily from more than 100 million smartphones worldwide. For its “State of Group Video Calling Experience — Asia Pacific” report announced on May 2021, Opensignal analyzed 64 mobile network operators in 17 countries across the Asia Pacific region and evaluated them on the Group Video Calling Experience metric.

SoftBank was the winner in the Asia Pacific region for Group Video Calling Experience, which measures the proportion of video calls where all users had at least an adequate or better video conference experience through mobile communication apps such as LINE, Zoom, WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams, and FaceTime.

SoftBank has strived to improve telecommunication quality and speeds so customers can enjoy mobile communications, the Internet, video calling, and video streaming services stress-free. Taking the results of this survey into account, SoftBank will continue to build a telecommunications environment that is convenient for customers, as well as provide services and solutions that meet their needs.
