SoftBank Introduces ‘Flat-rate Data Bonus Pack’ - High speed mobile data communication service to be available
for a monthly charge of 1,000 yen to 4,980 yen -

TOKYO, February 26, 2009 --- SOFTBANK MOBILE Corp. (hereafter ‘SBM’) announced that it will introduce ‘Flat-rate Data Bonus Pack’ from March 6, 2009. This service provides high speed mobile data communication for PCs (maximum downlink speed: 7.2Mbps) with flat-rate of 1,000 yen to 4,980 yen per month. ‘SoftBank C01LC’, a USB type compatible terminal for data communication will also be released at the same time nationwide.

Flat-rate Data Bonus Pack provides high speed Internet service for PCs anytime and anywhere with flat-rate. Offering the two-step flat rate enables customers to start enjoying the service with low price, and prevents overuse. In addition, it benefits a wide range of customers from light users who just start to use mobile data communication service, to heavy users who carry their notebook PCs all the time for the business purposes.

Flat-rate Data Bonus Pack is a package plan which consists of ‘Flat-rate Data Plan’ and ‘Data Plan’ with a total monthly charge of 1,000 yen to 4,980 yen. Flat-rate Data Plan enables customers to enjoy packet service with flat-rate, and Data Plan provides wide service coverage. Communication charge due to the use of Data Plan will be outside of the scope for the flat-rate, and charge will be billed according to the usage of packets. Individual contract is also available.
