1. Purpose of use of personal information

For the purpose of direct / indirect installment sales, etc., SoftBank Corp. (hereafter called “SoftBank”) uses and provides a third party with personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes below. SoftBank will not obtain personal information by false statements or unlawful means.

1) Purpose of use of personal information

In addition, SoftBank will clarify the purpose of use and obtain prior consent from customers whenever using the relevant personal information for any purpose other than those above mentioned.

2) Provision / Inquiry / Registration of personal information to Subscribed Designated Credit Information Organization, Subscribed Personal Credit Information Agencies, etc.

  1. SoftBank makes inquiry by providing Designated Credit Information Organization which SoftBank subscribes with (“Subscribed Designated Credit Information Organization”) or Personal Credit Information Agencies which SoftBank subscribes with (“Subscribed Designated Credit Information Organization / Personal Credit Information Agencies”) with the personal information regarding the customer (including applicant) who makes a direct / indirect installment sales, etc. contract (the “Contract”), however, in case where the product that is provided by Yahoo! BB brand or a part of product that is provided by Y!mobile brand, no inquiry to Personal Credit Information Agencies (Japan Credit Information Reference Center Corp.) is performed. At that time, if the personal information has been registered, SoftBank uses it for the sake of confirming the customer's ability of pay or ability of repayment.

  2. SoftBank provides Subscribed Designated Credit Information Organization / Personal Credit Information Agencies with the personal information regarding the customer (including applicant) who makes the contract and objective deal information, then register for the terms defined in the following list, however, in case where the product that is provided by Yahoo! BB brand or a part of product that is provided by Y!mobile brand, no information to Personal Credit Information Agencies (Japan Credit Information Reference Center Corp.) is provided / registered.
    The information provided / registered are used for the investigation of customer's ability of pay or ability of repayment by the subscribers of the Subscribed Designated Credit Information Organization / Personal Credit Information Agency.

(4) The information regarding situation of the repayment. (The fact that a credit payment was not made on time.) Subscribed Designated Credit Information Organization / Personal Credit Information Agencies and Partner Personal Credit Information Agencies are as stated below. In addition, if SoftBank joins another Personal Credit Information Agencies and provides it with/registers/uses personal information mentioned above, etc., SoftBank separately informs the relevant customer in writing of such effect and obtains his/her consent.

3) Provision to third parties

  1. In relation to purchases of SoftBank products by installments or lump‐sum payment, by transporting documents, sending electronically or magnetic way, SoftBank may provide an assignee with personal information for the purpose of assigning receivables such as installment receivables to a third party under provisions of the installment purchase contract and reimbursement contract.

  2. SoftBank may provide the following company (“Subscribed Designated Credit Information Organization / Personal Credit Information Agencies, etc.” combined with Subscribed Designated Credit Information Organization / Personal Credit Information Agencies) which SoftBank forms a partnership with for the credit control purposes with the personal information regarding the contractor of the Contract (including applicant).

4) Modification of the purpose of use

When SoftBank modify the purpose of use, SoftBank does not change the purpose of use beyond the scope which is reasonably considered that the purpose of use after the change is duly related to that before the change.

2. Disclosure of retained personal data

1) SoftBank, if requested to inform about the purpose of use, disclose, correct, suspend or provide to third parties retained personal data by an individual of such retained personal data, gives a reply in the following service. Complaints about the handling of such retained personal data are also acceptable through the following service.
